Did you know that Canvas Corp also sells Cupcake Trees? It is true… They come in 3-Tiers in Square or Round shape {14″, 11″ & 8″} It is made of sturdy, white corrugated paper. Create a beautiful display for birthdays, showers and even seasonal parties.
The cupcake tree is actually simple to cover, I even used burlap to cover one of the layers. I have also found that Fabric-Tac adhesive from Beacon is my go-to glue, I used it while making all of my projects for this birthday party. There are several die-cutting machines that offer a cupcake wrapper die, so you can use your scrapbook paper in the overall design. Canvas Corp Corkstock can be used through several different die cutting machines, I know for sure that Accu-Cut works well.
To cover the stand part of the tree, I measured from the middle of one side and made the paper long enough to wrap around the the other side. In the middle is where the two pieces fit together, so you will not have paper right there. That helps it not expose the raw edges. I was actually dreading this part for some reason, but it was very simple and quick to finish.
For the scalloped look on two of the tiers, I cut the Burlap & Canvas mini round shapes in half and attached them on the edge. It helped finish it off instead of having the raw edges of the corrugated paper showing.
The cupcake wrappers are easy to embellish using Cosmo Cricket’s tiny type letters, Crystal Stickers bling, Ribbons from American crafts and Making Memories. I used all Canvas Corp Patterned Papers…don’t you love the pink zebra paper!!
Keep tuned in and see more party decor made using Canvas Corp Products, you don’t want to miss!
