the NEW ticket holder GIVEAWAY!

Ready for a few more peeks at what we released at CHA?
How about a closer look at our cha-buzz-inducing-gotta-have-it ticket holder coming this April.
When we first saw this tucked away in one of our favorite euro antique spots we knew we might be on to something….
There were so many things to love from its worn wooden base to the carefully hand-coiled springs gently holding fat stacks of ruffled transit tickets.  It smelled of old papers, musty wood, a tinge of inkiness… it carried the allure of distant journeys and curiosity of where each of those tickets had whisked passengers off to.
We wanted it.  And we knew we had to share it with gypsies everywhere.

So we brought it back to the workshop and imagined.  What kinds of memories could be tucked behind the coils?  Could our ephemera cards and findings fit? What about photos and recipes? How big could they be?  Just how could creative gypsies use this?

We imagined something like this….

layers of tiny tickets, trinkets and tags

or maybe this…

big 8×10 photos, juxaposed with ephemera pieces and tiny bits

we figured we’d need to create some inspired tags and tickets to fit perfectly in the ticket holder like these…

retro train tickets

months of the year tickets

or lucky #7 tickets?

they look darn cute adorned with rubbings and label stickers…

What will you do with your ticket holder?

Post a comment that inspires us and we’ll pick our favorite to win a prize pack that includes a new ticket holder, tickets and a mini ephemera set!

Comments must be posted by midnight Thursday, February 18th.  We’ll announce the winner on Friday!

This is AMAZING. I would love to use this as a countdown for the end of a deployment. Now that my son is old enough to understand numbers and the days of the week, I think this would be perfect.

and, me, inspire you? I’m liking all of the ideas I’m reading here – the tickets – as an inspiration station (that one gets my vote!) – to hold pictures of all of my amazing grandchildren, along with their artwork & notes to us – oh! for my daughter to have all of her concert & movie tickets where she can see them (they’re on a bulletin board in her old room) – oh! to hold some Truth Cards from Soul Restoration! YES! Quotes, inspiration pictures … ok, I need more than one of these! Now, please?

Truly great find…I am inspired by all things around me,outdoors, inside, colors, paper, magazines, music, books..you could take any of these and be creative! There are so many more things..but my most favorite is thrift stores..by buying in a charity store, someone has a job, and an old doily or tablecloth is re-loved!! Is that a new word?

I would love to have another one for positive affirmations just for me. And then another one in the kitchen for handy hints, fav recipes, phone numbers etc. I just love the whole concept of this ticket holder. I think I would use it like a family notice/message board. Each family member could have their own space and phone messages or reminders about tasks etc could be popped behind their faces. The space in front of their faces could be decorated with little pieces of memorabilia which represent the members personalities…tiny vase of flowers for the gardener in the family, bat and ball for the sporty types…musical instruments and tiny rolls of sheet music for the musicians.Possibilities are endless…especially considering how much beautiful Gypsies ephemera there is available.

I can’t wait to have one in my house…..I would take it and put it in either my kitchen on the table to catch all those little bits: buttons, tags, notes, and pics that are dropped on the table and sit there….If that didn’t work out, I would put it in my living room where it would continue to “catch” all of those little bits that get left behind in there…tags, receipts, photos, and notes that sometimes get forgotten! I would use it as a place to hold the secret notes I share with my children. Right now we use a hidey bit of cupboard but the kitties like to play in there and they’ve been known the eat the notes. Apparently, dogs may eat your homework but kitties will only eat your love notes 🙂

I’ve never seen a ticket holder, so cute too, so many uses. I would hang it upside down to hold bits of lace an ribbon so it would be easy to see what I have as left overs to use instead of digging around in a box for stuff.

So many possibilities. When I saw it, I immediately knew I would use it to hold instax photos. My daily craft: spend a few minutes choosing my photo and dress it up with rub ons, epherma, trinkets, etc., put it in the ticket holder, and watch it grow and grow. Not only will it proudly display photos I love, but it’ll also function as a way to develop crafting techniques. Yes. I like this a lot.

As a brand new freshman in high school, this little beauty would be perfect for displaying all the memorabilia i’m collecting, or maybe a fantastic way to organize my week.

I hope I am not repeating anyone as I didn’t get an opportunity to read everyone’s.
However, i would use the ticket holder to hold my goals. I have two lists of goals: one goal list is for 2011 where the goals are somewhat achievable and then there is a second goal list that is one day goals filled with the sky’s the limit goals.

wow i would love to have this amazing ticket holder. why well i guess because i would cherish it everyday. it would sit on my work shop desk, where i could place my thought on to tags and tickets and place them in the ticket holder. then at any given time of day or night i could read them and put them into a plan. weather it be a altered book or scrap book page, a new design or a lovely poem, or a photo i found and put away for later. they would all be at my finger tips. so yes to win this would be just amazing. good luck to all and thankyou for the lovely prize.

This is fab, and I have the perfect use for it. It’s time to start thinking about sowing seeds in the greenhouse and if I had this I could have the seed packets displayed on this each week so I wouldn’t miss sowing any.

My daughter is a huge twilight fan and has kept her movie tickets and other memorabilia, including pictures of her friends when they go see the movies. This ticket holder could be her twilight display to hold pictures and memorabilia.

    Oh, I need one!
Am planning on putting pictures of each of our six kids, with school play and concert tickets that they have taken part in behind their photo, and then a photo of my husband and myself in the middle with “date” tickets behind us from when we occasionally get a break from six kids!
