Sometimes it just feels good to make a little tag. They are perfect on gifts, part of your creative projects or just because. Creating canvas tags can even be more fun as the craft mediums work so well on the canvas and the results are just amazing. Jana shares these great tags and great techniques with you.
Hello everyone! jana here from Scrapbook Abundance. I wanted to share two tags with you. They are made with all three our wonderful brands. It’s amazing how many combinations and how much fun you can have when combining Canvas Corp, Tattered Angels and 7 Gypsies. Everyone can find the right thing to follow the inspiration. Here we go:
The base a piece of canvas, misted and distressed with inks. The paper for the background belongs to the great selection of Tattered Angels Mistable Papers and this one is Textured Vinyl White. Perfect for misting and adding texture paste, crackle paint and everything you wish.
A wrap of wire is a great base for a creative critter or fun saying on the tags, like this wrap of wire and thread. The flowers are misted with Tattered Angels mists – plenty of mistiing!!!
I used a piece of canvas also for the banner. The letters are stamped from 7 Gypsies.
The second tag is a mainly 7 Gypsies tag. Stamps, paper, tags, embellishments, charms,… A perfect combo. But some intruders from the other two brands are also present like the mists and touches of Canvas Corp.
A clever way to add a tag to a project, like adding a tag to this tag is to stitch them right into place, like this Gypsy Moments Thank You Tag at the bottom of the tag. Then layer with another smaller tag, tags on tags look great together and then topped with one of the 7gypsies Travel Charms.
The dimensional heart that features the letter “P” can be any letter you want it to be.
Hope you enjoyed these techniques, they are fun to add to mixed media layouts, cards, canvases, books and of course tags. So if you have scraps left from your projects or a few embellishments you did not use, bring them together to create mixed media tags.
Happy Creating!!! Jana
