1. Design them to reflect your style or make them one at a time to reflect the receivers style – the nice part about making your own is you have the option.
2. Hand-write your note on the inside – 4-5 lines is plenty and make sure your handwriting is easily read. A hint to keep your lines straight is to use a ruler and write along the ruler adding the tails to g’s, j’s, p’s, q’s and y’s after you finish the line.
3. Make it personal – start with the person’s name and make the note as personal as possible.
4. Don’t forget to mention what you are thanking them for – be specific and when possible let them know how their favor, gift, effort made a difference.
5. Finish with a second Thank You – it might seem redundant, but it reiterates how much it meant to you.
7. Send out Thank You notes right away – you may not think it makes a difference, but it does. With large projects such as wedding and baby showers there is a bit of an extension, but for single Thank You notes, we suggest sending them within a few days.
We thought we would share a few handmade Thank You cards and inspire you to be in the Thank You card mood in 2017 and bring many smiles when your envelopes are opened.
