Made you smile – handmade notepad

Canvas Corp The Watering Can collection has paper designs that fit into many projects, giving a spring touch. Add pattern papers as backgrounds, place cuttings on cards and color tags for your project. The colors vary from bright spring ones, like greens and yellows, to darker on kraft paper prints. 

Crew member Kyriakos Pachadiroglou colored a tag from the Seed Packets on Ivory paper and decorated a cover of a handmade notepad. The light green and white chevron paper used as background and the flower tag are full of spring blooming. Tattered Angels mists used give a pastel coloring result.

“The tags on the Seeds packet on Ivory paper are little pieces of art that just need some color to fit in my projects. Adding a brighter background in green, I want to the flower design to come in contrast and pop out from the cover, while giving a sense of bright green found in spring grass. This handmade notepad will make a nice gift to someone special.” – as Kyriakos says.

Step 1 – Color one of the tags with the Tattered angels paints of your choice.

Step 2 – Cut two book boards 5x7in and two pieces of the chevron paper 6x8in

Step 3 – Glue the chevron paper, score and fold at the back of the book boards.

Step 4 – Cut two pieces of the journal lines paper and glue them to cover the book boards.

Step 5- Place a piece of the burlap fringe to the side and then some e-flute paper.

Step 6 – Spray with the Tattered angels mists.

Step 7 – Partially cover with the heavy structure paste and set the painted label.

Step 8 – Cut A4 pages, punch them and the covers and bind with the wire. Add ribbons and charms on the wire.
