We love to collaborate with other craft manufactures to see how well our product work together, to stretch our design style and to have a chance to work with products other than our own, which keeps the creative juices flowing. When the opportunity to work with the Bella Blvd this spring arose, we were so excited to bring the brands together and make some creative magic. Bella Blvd founder Stephanie Smokovich started the company in her parents’ home in 2008 with a focus on scrapbooking papers and embellishments featuring bright and graphic designs. We have loved working with their entire team to pull this project together and we cannot wait to share with you all the wonderful projects created by both the Bella Blvd and Canvas Corp Brands design team members. We decided to choose 8 people from each of the teams to send the Sweet Sweet Spring from Bella Blvd, a different blank surface, Tattered Angels Paints and assorted coordinating embellishments from Canvas Corp Brands. Canvas Corp Brands offers a wide range of craft basics that help bring your creative ideas to life and blank surfaces that help show off your design style for all to see.
When the fun, bright spring collection arrived ready for us to add our coordinating products we so excited to see a nice range of pastel colors, fun sayings and details to work with. The touches of golds, purples, pinks, turquoise and greens work so well together. The look terrific all together or when just a few distinct color were chosen, such a great collection with so many options. We are excited to share the nice variety of projects created when the brands came together.
This brand match up will be going on all week with projects being featured on the design team members blogs, as well as, the Canvas Corp Brands and Bella Blvd social media sites. This blog hop could not happen without a few fun give aways and it is so easy to enter. Simply leave a comment on any of the sites (listed at the bottom of this post) with the #bbccbteamup. Let’s start with this fun mixed media tray Lynne Forsythe created. This once stained shadow box is transformed into a fabulous tray featuring Lynne’s signature flowers created with the Sweet Sweet Spring papers and touches of coordinating colored burlap making for a stunning project.
Fabulous Spring Shadow Box
Lynne did not stop with just one project, she created a sweet little tag too. This tag really shows off how well the collection works even when it is grunted up a bit to fit Lynne’s amazing mixed media style. Don’t be afraid to pop certain colors with splashes of paint or add a touch of kraft flute or paper which gives any project a great rustic touch. The Bella Blvd cloud clear cut looks great as the background in the shadow box. For all the details on both projects stop by Lynne’s blog – the next best thing by Lynne
Just Think Spring Mixed Media Tag
While Lynne shows off the beautiful colors of the entire collection, this next project shows off how fun it is to choose just a few colors to create a home decor piece that is perfect for the mantel, kitchen or where every you show off your Spring holiday decor. The natural touches from outside show off the brushes just before Spring arrives with these Crape Myrtle Pods. The two project could not be more different and yet they were created with the very similar goodies.
Early Spring Butterfly Banner
If you love the look of nature in your projects travel to the backyard and look for unique branches, pods and other unique dried foliage. As Winter comes to an end there are many options of dried branches, pods and leaves that are simply beautiful. They will soon disappear so what a perfect way to preserve a few special one.s
Gold, Black and a touch of Turquoise is the perfect palette for this canvas banner. The banner is tied together with simple touches of canvas, butterflies and Bella Blvd Bows.
The center of the banner was created with 2 Canvas Diamond Shapes stitched together to create a pocket or canvas vase. The extra layers of canvas create a nice heavy duty place to hold flowers, dried foliage or maybe even a little Easter candy. The butterfly was cut from the Canvas Corp Butterflies paper and painted with the new Tattered Angels Shimmer Paints – Yellow. The simple black and ivory paper let’s you add a touch of color making it the perfect companion for any color palette.
We love the sayings in the Bella Blvd Daily Details paper and this one spoke to us the most “May You Always Be Brave Enough To Fly” What a special message for the Spring season. We flanked the banner center with two pennant shapes cut from the Canvas Corp Ivory & Black Big Dot paper. The oversizes dots are a great background and topped with the yellow awning style sticker and a bit of canvas stitched in place it shows off this great sign so well.
The outside pieces are created on Canvas Corp Banners. The banners are available in a few traditional shapes and a variety of sizes, this one is the Small Flag Banner. The channel at the top is great for slipping in unique items like these branches, paint brushes, ribbon or jute cord. The sweet felt bows find themselves here and there on the banner and look so adorable.
The butterflies were painted with the same Tattered Angels Shimmers Paint, this new paint is a special recipe of tone on tone dye and mica to create a beautiful watercolor look.
The paint comes in a 1 ounce bottle with a brush applicator, making adult coloring with a brush so fun. Crop you paper and stitch or glue onto the front of your banner piece.
Small Blessing Make Life A Joy Easter Banner Book
Suzanne shows of the whimsical fun side of the Sweet Sweet Spring collection with this fun Easter mini book that is ready to show Easter photos of the past or save it for this years snap shots.
The combination of Canvas Corp Cardstock papers and the graphic designs from Bella Blvd work so well together The heavy weight of the Canvas Corp Papers makes it a perfect book page and the decorative details of the printed papers just top it off so well.
