Painting your own tote for spring or summer is a great way to show off your style and create a tote to haul your goodies to the beach, the shore or the pool. When you make your own you can choose the size and shape of your tote from large to small and from wide to tall. Canvas Corp makes a wide range of different canvas and burlap totes that we are sure you will find one that works. This inspiring tote is ideal for paint your own classes, workshops and even the classroom for Mother’s Day. Lucy of Craftberry bush shows us some great ways to decorate your tote that are fun and easy to do. Try butterflies, hearts, stars or even beach balls, your tote, your way. Here is Lucy’s where she choose butterflies.
Want a beautiful canvas tote for the beach? Well, here is some inspiration for you, Lucy from Craftberry Bush made one by adding these gorgeous butterflies and vibrant color to her tote.
You can use any acrylic paint to decorate your tote bag. Delta’s Ameriana Paint, Tattered Angels High Impact Paint or Plaid’s Folk Art paint are all great choices. Choose a larger brush for smoother lines when painting on canvas. There is no need to gesso or add a base coat, simply paint right onto the canvas and allow each strip to dry before adding the next color. Paint the bottom or paint the entire tote with stripes. Painters tape is ideal for taping off the stripes.
