Make Your Own Spring Cards – color in the art your way

Hi CCB peeps! Team member Cherry Nelson here. Has Spring come to your part of the country? Here, in the  Pacific Northwest it has been rainy and blustery; great time to create some paper projects inside.

I have decided to play with the Spring Showers papers as they are perfect for this time of the year and, thanks to being printed in black and white, you can make them fit whatever colour scheme you decide on – just grab some paints or markers and make the magic happen!

Supplies used:
Canvas Corp Spring Showers: Boots and Brellas paper
Canvas Corp Spring Showers: Spring Sayings paper
Canvas Corp Spring Showers: The Watering Can tags
Washi tape
buttons
ribbon
adhesive glue
cardstock
digital image
paper doily

Struggling for creative ideas on a rainy spring day? Look no further!
Gather your Canvas Corp goodies and let’s create a fun  “Spring Showers” card.

Using the Canvas Corp “Boots and Brellas” paper as a jumping off theme, I first colored the paper using a Copic green marker. Using markers really brought the paper to life and added dimension.

The paper was also added to the inside along with the Spring Sayings paper to create a sweet sentiment. This is a great way to let the image take center stage and adds a special touch to the inside.

The paper was added to the cardstock along with ribbons, washi tape, and buttons. Layer the different designs and colours to build your card up. The small elements will add personal touch and cuteness to the design.

To allow the image to stand out, it was layered with a tag from the The Watering Can set.

You can use different color combinations for your cards – whatever works for you is good. Remember, just have fun with it!
