Canvas Corp S’mores Party

Hello, friends! I’m so excited to be sharing this fun little s’mores table with you. Whether you center a whole party around s’mores, or just have a dessert table decorated to wrap up a BBQ at the end of the night, these Canvas Corp items are sure to inspire you! I have so much here I want to show you so let’s get started! First, I’ll show you the s’mores banner…

Materials:

The Process…

First, I started by cutting out six burlap triangles for the banner shapes. I then used my Cricut and cut out some black scalloped circles, some regular circles with the polka dot cardstock, and the letters to add the saying, “have some smores” to the banners.

For the black circle banner, I just ran the circles through my sewing machine, one after another, to sew them all together. Then, I took my letters and glued them on. Finally, I added some Stickles for glitter, but this is totally optional!

For the burlap banner, I layered the scalloped circle on top of the burlap triangles, then added the polka dot circle on top of the scallops with foam adhesive. You don’t have to use foam adhesive, but I liked adding some dimension. Finally, when all the burlap triangles were assembled, I used the wax cord and glued it across all the triangles to create the banner.

I also put together a video for you to watch the process if you prefer…

Let’s move on! Next, I wanted to decorate my tiered serving display to organize the s’mores ingredients in. I took some Canvas Corp polka dot cardstock and cut it into rectangles. Then, I added some chalkstock on top of that, and just labeled which ingredient went into each tier. I also just tied on a strip of Chocolate Burlap to the top handle.

  • Hersey’s Chocolate Bars
  • Graham Crackers
  • Marshmallows
  • Optional – nuts, coconut, crushed candy

Next! I wanted to create a way for guests to take a little “s’more” love home with them. I used Canvas Corp’s kraft paper bags and displayed them in a 7gypsies crate. I also used my Cricut again to add a fun quote to a few of the bags. It’s so simple to do this with your paper bags- just place them on your Cricut mat, design the lettering you want in Cricut’s design space, and then let the machine do it’s thing! I don’t have a proper Cricut pen, so I used a pencil and then later traced over the lines with a white gel pen.

I also added a cute tag to the crate that said “take smores home!”. I made the tag to match the ones on the tiered serving tray. I just love the thought of letting guests put together their own little goodie bag!

You can stamp, hand-write or stencil onto the bags – they are available in kraft, white and black.

Last, but not least, I wanted to show how you can even make some cute little S’mores Pops. It’s fun to make your own s’mores at the fire, but you can also give your guests a variety of goodies! These pops were so easy to put together. I just picked up some jumbo marshmallows, broiled them in the oven for a minute, and then dipped them into melted chocolate and then crushed graham crackers. I then used some paper straws for the stick. The straws worked okay, but they were a little thick, so you may want to go ahead and just use some regular pop sticks.

Use containers you have around the house and add a simple sign or ribbon and they will coordinate with your theme.

I also added another coordinating tag onto my little galvanized container to label the pops. Now, my container was way too deep for the pops, so I just crumpled up some kraft packing paper in the bottom and arranged my pops on top.  Here’s another little video of what I used to decorate my s’mores pops container.

There it is! Just a few easy, handcrafted touches to your party to make your guests feel special. Canvas Corp has some really fun items that you can use alongside things you already have to create a party that will be fun and memorable!

We think the combination of kraft, black, and a few pops of white is a perfect color combination to help pull off a special s’mores party. Go ahead and check out what Canvas Corp’s store has to offer, but also look through your own items and find fun containers and serving trays that you could decorate for a s’mores party like this, or any other theme!
