Jen from Craft-O-Maniac blog made this scary, interactive Halloween Countdown calendar using a lot of Canvas Corp products.
SO HERE IS MY Haunted House Advent Calender.
I started with my
Elmer’s tri-fold- styrofoam board. I new the minute I pulled it out, I was going to make a Haunted House Advent with it. What I didn’t know is that it would be a long 8-9Â hr project. Less time if you don’t have kids to take care of. I loved every second I spent making this. The Collage you see shows you my basic step by step tutorial to getting the Haunted House look. I used a hot glue gun to glue the cut triangle pieces to the board. I mixed turq. and black acrylic paint to get a semi dark and ugly Haunted House color.
I used great products from my sponsor
Canvas Corp. to help me create the fun haunted house look, as well as the advent calender. All the paper, white small square envelopes, and cute small brown paper bags are all from Canvas Corp. LOVE it.
To make everything fit inside, I folded the bottom part of the brown paper bags under and glued it down with my Elmer’s glue stick.
You can see how they look folded. CUTE EITHER WAY.
because the brown paper bags only came with 25 and I needed “31” I improvised with the white envelopes. I think its cute with a little mix up. Plus when the kids flip up the envelope lids.. they say things like “AHHHH” “EEK” “SCREAM” “BOO”.
ENTER IF YOU DARE… MU-HO-HAHAHAHAHA
“VIOLA”
I had the most fun coming up with fun Halloween riddles, rhymes, and funny sayings. One day says we will be having our “Spooktacular Haunted Larsen Dinner”
Thank you for sharing your Halloween Project with us, Jen!!!
