Mixed Media Origins Journal Cover

Discovering new ideas and uses, that for once more prove how versalite the Tattered angels Mixed Media Origins paper collection is, crew member Kyriakos Pachadiroglou decided to match a canvas journal cover with one of the papers, giving a one a kind result. Tattered Angels Mixed Media Origins papers designs are printed on a cloth-like paper that makes perfect for coloring, working with mediums and using it on mixed media projects. The papers can be cut or die cut to any size, sewn to create a mixed media book or used as is to create a piece of art and by using one or many of the Tattered Angels paints, give life to the designs and show your style.

“Combining a paper from the Tattered angels Mixed Media Origins collection with a canvas journal cover, I wanted to make something strong and durable to use in daily life, while have a design that cannot be achieved with other ways. The end result gave me a more than expected strong cover with vivid colors and ready to be used.” – as Kyriakos says.

Heavy structure paste
Gel medium – transparent
Fabric glue
Craft knife
Paint brushes

Step 1 – Paint the Tattered angels Mixed media origins paper with the colors of your choice.

Step 2 – Cut the paper about 1/2in bigger than the canvas journal cover. Glue the outside of the cover to the back side of the paper.

Step 3 – Fold and glue the excess paper inside the cover.

Step 4 – Spray with a Tattered angels mist the inside of the book cover.

Step 5 – Set beads in the center of flower with a transparent gel medium. Let it dry well.

Step 6 – Embellish the cover with cuttings from the Canvas corp Coffee and Tea labels , mesh, stamps and metallic book corners.
