Quick Art Journal Play When You Have a Minute

Finally managed to find some free time in between the washing, ironing, cooking and looking after the kids? Feeling an overwhelming need to make something pretty but only have half an hour? Sounds so true to many of us, right?
Art journalling is the answer – you can take as much or as little time as you want/have; you can make it as ellaborated or as simple as your creative muse tells you. There is no right or wrong way of journalling – there’s only your way!

So grab your Tattered Angels Paints and 7gypsies papers, find some scraps you have lying about on your craft table and doing our Crew members, Tracy Dickson and Sheri Levitt, on their creative adventures into the art journalling world.

‘I had used deli paper to clean my stencil and soak up extra glimmer mist while making a project for the CCB May Challenge. There were also scraps of paper and canvas fringe sitting on my desk, so when I had an hour to play, I grabbed my journal and made a quick page using those items.’ – shares her inspiration Tracy.

A slightly different page from Sheri where she used strips of washing, some rub-ns and paint to create the layered background.
