The gypsies shopped over the weekend in Rogers, Arkansas for Sips on the Bricks, part of Holiday on the Bricks. This fun event raised money for Toys for Tots and kicked off the holiday season with evening hours at the cutest shops ever, a tasty sip of a cocktail at each location and plenty to look at. Here are a few of our favorites.
This adorable shop was single handily manned by owner, Sherry Puttkammer. Her eclectic holiday touches offered something for everyone with vintage style signs, fantastic ribbons and gifts galore. Her cocktail was one of the favorites among our group.
This is an antique shop filled with personality and an entire rack of ugly sweaters to choose from. We had a ball in this place looking at the vintage items, holiday decor and clever displays. Situated in a old building with lovely brick walls, the antiques had the perfect background.
What cookies would be perfect in this vintage Santa cookie jar? Snickerdoodles, Gingersnaps….
They even had Thanksgiving dishes that we so wanted, but no one had room – boo hoo.
We loved this sign but had one little issue…we had a few gypsy husbands along for the ride so they had a lot to say about it!!!!!
A few doors down we entered the cutest kitchen shop with sweet gifts, cooking classes and events. Their drink was very good. They started with a recipe and then made it their own, we love that and it was delicious.
So many cute ideas with vintage style fabrics, doilies and lots of Arkansas goodies.
One last shop made the cut. They were not actually part of the event, but we stepped in and loved what we saw.
We love these creative pinecones. Such a clever idea and great way to recycle old boxes and make the cutest holiday decor. We are storing this idea away for sure.
Owner Tracy Alexander welcomed every customer to her store, which was decorated with great style and lots of flare.
This beautiful window display was as stunning from the back as the window and this image of Santa was a perfect way to end the night. A good reminder as we enter the season that Santa is watching and looking quite fine in his vintage Santa attire.
A blend of fresh ideas with a classic, rustic vibe is just what we were looking for this holiday season…glad we are on trend.
The night comes to an end with a taste of many great seasonal cocktails, lots of great ideas and many laughs. The gypsies say bring on the holidays and let’s enjoy all the gypsy moments…those little things that happen this time of year and all year long if you stop to notice them!!!
Here are all the shops that participated. So if you are in the Northwest Arkansas area put this on the calendar for next year and if you are looking for clever ideas for your downtown area you might want to give this a try. It was a lot of fun and the guys had fun too even if they didn’t admit it.
Happy Holiday Creating!!!
