Hi again:)
I’m sure the amazing creations of the girls from our Design Team convinced you that fabric and Tattered Angels products are a perfect combination! But…why not to look a bit more? Here are my ideas for this month:
I created this journal cover using only fabric, cardboard and Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists (Lily Pad, Turquise Blue, Patina and Black Magic) – combined with a little bit of gesso on the top. First I covered the cardboard with laces, fabric scraps and ribbons, than I added the chipboard letters and all the grungy embellishments. The next step was spraying – and finally – painting with gesso. What can I say – this is one of my favourite techniques and I really like the final effect đ
More details – all elements are covered with Glimmer Mists and a little bit of gesso here and there…
I also enjoy creating more traditional, paper layouts…but always aith a bit of mixed-media in it. I love creating my own backgrounds, and Tattered Angels products are just perfect for that! On this layout, “Morning” I used 3 colors of pink Glimmer Mist: Tattered Rose, Creme de Rouge and Juneberry Wine.
First I sprayed the background and I used the stencil to create nice, soft-looking dots. My next step was stamping with different background stamps – and finally coloring the embellishments – fabric flowers, crochet dots, cotton ribbon and pieces of cotton rope I formed into a flower shape. Easy – and so fun!
And here are some close ups – the ribbons, crochet dots and fabric flowers – all colored with Glimmer Mists…
And the my last project is a fabric flower, wich I found on the flea market – colored with Tattered Angels Chals and Glimmer Mists of course! Those flowers a perfect hair and cloth decoration – stylish and charming. Before I painted it it was…white, but I wanted it to suit my new jeans jacket, so I decided to do it teal and black.
As A base I chose 2 Chalkboard Glimmer Mist colors: Charcoal and Teal Hight Heel. I sprayed the flower in the middle with Teal and on the petals’ edges with Charcoal. Finally, to make it more shiny and glimmery I added just a bit of Midnight Blue Glimmer Mist.
I hope you enjoyed this a bit long blogpost! Have a great time creating – may the Glimmer Mist power be with you đ Hugs!
