Summer vacations are upon us and for those traveling to the Disney Parks around the world, what a fun, creative way for the kids to collect the autographs of their favorite characters, write down memories and stash photos. This handmade autograph book was created by mixing and matching the wide range of Canvas Corp Printed Papers to create pages for each of the characters including Minnie Mouse, Mickey Mouse, Pluto, Princesses – Belle, Elsa, Anna, Snow White, Cinderella, Ariel, Jasmine… or the characters from the Toy Story. Create each book to reflect your child’s favorite Disney Characters making it even more special. Michelle Shows us how it is done.

Create the front cover layer papers, flute and one of the sayings from the Day at the Park Paper or add a Disney sticker or design onto the front of your Tabbed Book. It is easier to keep the pages separate and then put your book together, keep in mind that you need to decide how you want your pages to face when the book is open, you can make all pages with the holes at the top of your pages or you can design the book to have the back page the other way so that when you open your book you can see both pages the right way and do not have to flip the book over, either way is great, you just need to decide and mark the pages so you don’t end up glueing your page upside down (we can only share this because maybe we have done this before).
Michelle created a page for each character with fun little places to get signatures, hide little photos and memories of the trip. This Park Page was created by cutting out the tags from the Day at the Park Sampler and pieces and parts. Fussy cutting the little bows and adding them to the tags is the perfect touch.
Make this Minnie Page by punching two round circles from black cardstock or e-flute to create the ears and place the pink flower in the middle adding pink details and a little tag to get Miss Minnie Mouse’s Autograph. To create the tags punch a partial circle and add the character name (we typed them up with a cute font and printed them on white cardstock).
The combination of red, yellow and black makes you instantly think Mickey Mouse and two black circles punches for ears and cut one of the 4×6 pages from the Red & Black Little Pages (our little pages are great for making journals with built in lines, tags and places to journal.
For a fun little touch is to cut out one of the tags from the Little Pages and decorate the front of the tag.
Then slip a surprise word or message under for the kids to find. You can also add photos here too.
To create pages for the other wide range of characters choose the color combination that represents each of the characters best, like this Orange, Black and White for Pluto or fill a page page with pink, blue or yellow for each of the Disney Princesses.
If the Toy Story Characters are on the list, you can create a perfect page with fussy cut pieces from the Canvas Corp Boots & Saddle on Kraft. Journaling lines are available in white, kraft and ivory and can be cut to fit any space making it easier to journal, make places for signatures or fun memories.
The Day sat the Park Words and Sayings are filled with fun sayings, words and icons that can be cut and added throughout the book with fun fonts, ‘amusement park’ words and fun icons.
Add burlap, papers and the character names to each of the tabs making it easy to flip to that character when you see them in the park. You can make a general page with the journal lines for all the other characters so none are missed. You can also stash of tags in one of the envelopes for extra signatures and you can make additional pages when you get home from vacation.
Little touches like filling out this mini postcard with a special little message or memory is so cute and adding 3×3 envelopes which are prefect for adding Instagram Photos, Punched Round Photos or extra signature tags.
The tickets from the sampler are blank on the back and perfect for more autographs.
Don’t forget to cut out the ‘favorite’ tags from the smaller and fill them out for the book. Capturing those special moments during the trip is the best way to do it, you think you will remember every moment, but those memories go away quickly when you get back to the real world, but they are captured forever in this special keepsake book.
If Disney is not on the schedule for this year, but Sea World, Six Flags, Knottsberry Farm, Cedar Point or even the Mall of American might be and you can create a book to match each of the parks with just the right color combinations.
We hope we inspired you to create an autograph book, travel journal or vacation photo album.
Happy Creating!!!!
