Ticking is in and we love how well it blends with our ivory and black farmhouse papers and prints. A fun way to show off these fun prints is a banner you can hang anywhere in the kitchen.
We started with the center pennant and fussy cut the cow from our Farmhouse Kitchen on Ivory Rev. You can use this paper as it is or fussy cut the individual pieces. Layer with a triangle of Black & Ivory Toile and kraft e-flute. To finish it off we added a piece of art from our Farmhouse Kitchen Stripe on Ivory to the center of the 7gypsies Brass Optical Lens, a great way to highlight your favorite art.
Using two Burlap Pocket Shapes and add sections from the Farmhouse Kitchen paper on Ivory Rev and add a stripe from the Farmhouse Kitchen stripe – the papers are great to work with offering many options of great art to pick choose. Create the ticking hangers that fit right over the rope for a great vintage look.
The final two banner pieces are cut in a flag like design. The best way to create this is to fold your ticking in half and make your flag so both sides are the same. Top the ticking with kraft e-flute, this is a great way to make a thinner fabric like ticking to have some bulk and make it easier to hang onto the cording. Pick parts of the Farmhouse Stripe on Ivory and add your favorite kitchen icon.
Make just five pieces or keep going to create a larger banner and clip the to Natural Jute Rope with Decorative Red Clothespins. If you want to make them look a bit more vintage, just sand them a bit and you can add a little Tattered Leather Glimmer Mist or Distressing Ink from Ranger.
Happy Creating!!
