What do you stash in your junk journals? Memories, things to do, thoughts or new ideas? We love this idea of creating a board you can hang in your kitchen, studio or by your desk to stash your junk journal right where you need it when something comes to mind.
The new A Vintage Girl Collection has some great elements that make creating clever projects so easy. Printed Cardboard, Printed Canvas, Background papers and more. The collection also includes Chipboard which is available only on the A Vintage Girl Shop Site.
To make quick and easy junk journal cut papers to the same size. This journal was made with 8″x8″ paper scored down the middle and folded. Using a piece of fabric from the printed canvas, sew the binding down the center with all the papers stacked and you have a great junk journal to jot down your next idea.
7gypsies Parchment Rub ons are a great way to embellish paper, fabric, silk, cardboard, wood, etc. The vintage style gives a look of a distressed stamp and they are so easy to apply.
You can use printed, blank, lined or other paper inside your journal. When using printed papers, you can add a sheet of solid paper to them or an envelope that allows you to write and slip it in or use a Sharpie Marker to write.
The printed 12×12 sheets are great to tear apart and use different elements in your crafts, like two strips sewn into the journal to create a tie that keeps it all together. The rough edges add a great look.
This simple memo board is made by sewing a strip of scrap canvas to each corner with a zigzag stitch. With pieces from the Build Parchment rub on we added elements to the scrap that blend in with the memo board. Tear a piece of the printed canvas to create a pocket and sew it onto the printed cardboard.
Use a contrasting stitch or use the same color as the fabric depending on the look you are going for. The hanger can be made with fabric, cord, ribbon or there “junk” pieces you find.
