Believe – A Mixed Media Layout

We are excited to share Misty’s mixed media layout and video where she walk us through the steps of turning a piece of 7gypsies paper into a masterpiece.  It all begins with the 7gypsies American Vintage – American Stamps paper and where it goes is just amazing.

To watch the video click on the layout or you will find the link at the end of the post.

Believe

Hi it is Misty and today I’m sharing a mixed media layout using the gorgeous American Vintage and Gypsy Moments collections from 7Gypsies.  The lines work terrific together and pulling in the Tattered Angels paint colors I love just made it work.

These papers are beautiful,  colorful and full of gorgeous travel images like inspirational sayings, fun photos of gypsies, street signs, license plates, vintage ephemera, and these fun postage stamps!

PRODUCTS:

AMERICAN VINTAGE: American Stamps Go and SeeAcross USA

GYPSIE MOMENTS: Poses and reflections

Other 7Gypsie products:  Mini HangersOptical lensdome studs (brass)

Tattered Angels: Amethyst (chalkboard)Sea Kelp (glimmer glaze)Paradise Pink (glimmer glaze)Island spring (glimmer glaze)Maple yellow (simply sheer)Imperial blue (simply sheer)Red Chilies (glimmer mist)Blue Bird (baseboard)Purple Pansies (baseboard)Icicle (glaze)

What I love most about these papers is that they are so colorful, but in true 7gypsies style those colors are muted and given a stained up, vintage appeal.  All of the latest 7gypsies papers are all cardstock which I love because it stands up to all the paint I love to add to my pages.  In the video I will walk you through the steps, here are a few highlights:

This layout is filled with so many color it is a perfect background for any photo color or black and white, without the struggle of matching up colors from the photo to your paper.  I turned one of the gypsies into an angel with wings you will learn how to create.

Another thing to love about this new line is the word side of the “across the USA” paper.  It’s a page devoted to random words, so that you can create your very own sentiments.  I slipped them under the Optical Lens to show off just what I wanted to say.

There’s also a page in this line full of instant frames with inspirational quotes added to them.  One of my favorite things to do with these frames is cut out the inside and make my image appear that it’s coming out of the frame…giving it a 3-d look.

Another favorite 7 Gypsies product is the fun little hanger paper clip.  I like to add metal to most of my pages and they are my go to embellishment! Now this may not make a lot of sense with most of my pages, but one thing I learned early on when I started scrapping, is that when you design your pages it doesn’t have to “make sense”…it just has to be fun to look at.  I personally feel that these hangers are perfect for so many styles from shabby chic to steampunk!  They come in antique silver and brass ,and can be used in the way I have used them in the picture above, or to hold fun banners like I’ve used here.

You can view Misty’s video here Believe Mixed Media Layout!  We hope you enjoyed the details as much as we did.  The combination of papers and paint is just a work of art.

Happy Creating!!!
