Canvas Corp Brands Warehouse Tour Video

This sneak peek inside the Canvas Corp Brands warehouse and manufacturing facility in Springdale, Arkansas provides a rare glimpse into what “made in America” really looks like.  Approximately 80% of our products are manufactured on site or by area vendors. This obviously benefits the economy and provides jobs but there’s so much more to it that you might not have even thought of.  Canvas Corp Brands makes products for the craft, stationery, clothing and gift markets.  We have 3 well known craft brands (7gypsies, Tattered Angels and Canvas Corp) and we also create a range of OEM products for other markets and makers. 

The company began with the Canvas Corp/Canvas Home Basics brand and did very little manufacturing but that soon changed with the new maker market emerging, Etsy becoming a major player in the creative world, and the rise of mixed media art.  The need for surfaces, cut and sew items and other craft basics became very important and Canvas Corp got to work sourcing and setting up their manufacturing operation. This part of the business has grown substantially, turning a supply warehouse into a full fledged manufacturing facility.  Canvas Corp sources products from around the USA and world-wide, seeking unique and high quality products in fabric, paper and other raw materials.

7gypsies was added to Canvas Corp Brands in 2011 and imported the majority of their products. The team quickly jumped into action and assessed each item in hopes to make a USA conversion to produce the products stateside. While some items are still made overseas due to resources and raw materials, a large number of items have been converted and more happen every day.  

Tattered Angels joined the team in 2012 and was being manufactured in Colorado.  We moved the manufacturing to Arkansas to keep it all under one roof.

Since we have manufacturing capabilities, Canvas Corp Brands is able to provide wholesale products for other companies, not just those in the arts and crafts industry. The CCB sewing operation can produce a wide range of fabric items including aprons, tote bags, table runners, placemats, wall hangings, banners, pouches, organizers, etc. But another benefit of having a manufacturing facility is that we can make stuff we haven’t even though of yet!  We have also recently added wholesale screen printing services which has taken off very quickly.

When someone calls and says, “Hey, I need 500 canvas propeller beanies, can you hook me up?” Most of the time the answer is, “YES!!” We are not limited by what some overseas manufacturer offers. We have the freedom to constantly explore new ideas and suggestions from our customers. That is a rare and beautiful thing.

All Tattered Angels paint formulas are mixed and bottled right here in our warehouse. We can formulate paint that’s compatible with pretty much any surface and we can create custom colors as well.  Every swatch is made with each batch and added to the bottle so you know what your paint will look like when you use it.  This is an important step in the process.

Canvas Corp Brands has an in-house graphic design team that work together to create all the art for all 3 brands.  They work hard to bring out the style and look of each brand, like capturing the heart and soul of the gypsy in a way that is genuine, versatile, and unique to the craft industry. Our 7gypsies paper lines, ephemera, and embellishments are often imitated but never duplicated.  Canvas Corp features craft basics that are used for a wide variety of projects and Tattered Angels papers are all focused on the new Adult Coloring craze.  The variety of brands and styles allows a wide range of products for everyone’s style.
