Cherish Memories – Distressed Blue Layout

Creatively documenting our family history is an important part of telling our story. Not only can these layouts be put in our family albums but can also be framed and hung up in our home. I am Sheila Rumney and today, I have for you a distressed blue layout.

I would like to show you how easy it is to create beautiful layouts using the new Architextures paper, Glimmer Mist, Simply Sheer and embellishments.

Sheila used the following materials:
Tattered Angels Simply Sheer – Birthday Party
Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist – Silver Sugar, Dazzling Diamonds
Tattered Angels High Impact Paint – White
Architextures paper – Smile for the Camera
Architextures Base – Chicken Wire
Architextures Parchment Rub On – Grow
Canvas Corp E-flute – Kraft
vintage lace, sheet music, twill , flowers, leaves, film strip, button and vintage broach
gesso, matte medium
Trimmer, pallet knife, scissors, paint brush, adhesive

Mist Simply Sheer on the background pattern paper.

Add High Impact White Paint to the Kraft E-Flute piece. Let dry.

Next, cut images from pattern paper and vintage sheet music.
Mist with Silver Sugar and Dazzling Diamonds to add more dimension to the background.
Adhere images and sheet music using matte medium. Let dry, then use pallet knife to apply gesso.
Start layering the chicken wire, tree rub-on, film strip, button, flowers, leaves, lace, broach and twill.
