We are back again today with the next card in our Christmas Card Countdown series! Today, Marie Nicole created this card using our 5×7″ kraft card bases, a little Tattered Angels mists, and some other beautifully vintage embellishments!
Marie started by stamping a faded text design on the background of the card. Then, she layered on some papers over that. Card Making is a great way to put those scrap papers to use! After she had some papers layered, Marie ran the front of her card through her sewing machine to add a fun sewed border around one of the paper layers.
Marie also chose to showcase this beautiful reindeer die from Tim Holtz. The reindeer was cut out of chipboard and then spritzed with some Tattered Leather Glimmer Mist. The Glimmer Mist gave it a nice rich brown with gold shimmer.
Then, around the reindeer, Marie added some little red and green flowers from Petaloo along with some little brass gears and a brass key. We love the contrast of the delicate flowers against the hard brass metal.
The very last thing Marie did to finish off this card was to mix a little Crystal DIY and Decor paint with a tiny bit of water and then added some splatters with a paintbrush. This technique gives the card a little extra interest as well as the suggestion of snow to bring the whole Christmas theme together!
We hope you enjoyed today’s card, and don’t forget to stop by tomorrow for another gorgeous Christmas card in our countdown series! Happy Crafting!
