Hi crafters! I am Evelyn Walter and I have a colourful tag for you today.
Being cold, windy and even snowy here again, I am longing for Spring so very much! I´m so tired of winter, I want sunshine and warm weather, bright colors, blooming flowers and singing birds, … – you know what I mean I think.
So, if I don´t get Spring outside, I decided to bring it in my craftroom!
I diecut a dragonfly and used a left over 7gypsies package and made a tag.
I reveled in bold colors and enjoyed the making of very much!
Evelyn used the following materials:
Tattered Angels High Impact Paint – Aqua, Purple
Tattered Angels Glimmer Glaze – Blue Oasis, Sweet Pea
Tattered Angels Glimmer Glam – Luck O´ The Irish
Tattered Angels Stained Glass – Baby Blue, Hot Pink, Lavender
Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist – Dragonfly, Pop Rocks, Tattered Leather, It´s Black
7gypsies Ring Dangles Crystal (empty package)
Architextures Junque Pack – Cabana
Architextures 8 x 8 Paper Pad
Canvas Corp Canvas Sheet
cardstock, Express Glue
white Gesso, Matte Medium, Matte Gel Medium,
Distress Ink Vintage Photo, Archival Ink Jet Black
cardboard scraps, flowers, old zipper
Fiskars Cutting Ruler, scissors, paint brushes
Sizzzix Bigz Texture Fades, Tim Holtz Alterations Layered Dragonfly
distressing tool and -foam, water spray bottle
Sizzix BigShot, Mini brayer, Hot glue gun
I cut a left over package from 7gypsies into a tag size and coated it with one of the gorgeous papers from the Architextures 8×8 Paper Pad. Then I added some scraps from other papers from this pad.
I added a bunch of colors – Glimmer Glams, Stained Glass Paints, High Impact Paints and Glimmer Mists, some white Gesso and for more texture, some stamping. Then I colored the dragonfly and put all the elements together.
To finish the tag, I glued down the saying and some flowers.
I made a process video, so I hope you enjoy watching!
Now, I hope I could bring some sunshine to you!
Enjoy today!
