Capture the beauty of Fall through the eyes of our young ones. They see magnificence in the world around them and their creations show us just that. Let those little hands get messy, let their creativity run free and teach them simple techniques that help them to bring their ideas to life. Crew member Zuzia shares with us the work of her little one and the smile alone shows how children feel when they are given the opportunity to create.
Hi dear friends!
We finally have beautiful Autumn here in Poland. Of course I miss Summer very much, but I love Autumn too. This season gives us so many colors and it is even better that my Birthday is soon 😉 During the Fall I spend more time creating with my daughters. At Lili’s preschool they are running a contest for the most beautiful framed picture and it should contain some Autumn elements. We decided to play with Tattered Angels and Canvas Corp goodies.

Step 1 – First protect the desk and clothes (and hands – we didn’t do that, but it was kind of fun as everybody asked Lili what she had been doing, and she felt proud answering that she used her mother’s paints.) Put white cardstock on the desk and start having fun. Spray some mists all over it – a little bit of blues and purples. Add some more blue… Repeat until the paper is fully covered with color. You will love the shiny look and deep colors.
Step 2 – CUTTING TIME. Cut brown paper into strips (they’ll be your trees and branches) and pieces of fabric into circles (they’ll be the treetops). Also cut a silhouette from the picture.
Step 3 – Stick everything together and your frame is ready.
Children may have the idea of what they want to create or they might need an idea to get them started. There’s no need to do it for them, but lead and teach them tricks and inspiration to help them along the process. We love Lili’s artwork, we can see her creative style coming through and we are pretty sure those special blue fingers are our favorite part.
Zuzia loves to share her artwork, her ideas and now we know her paints for very special reasons. Check out more ideas and projects on Zuzia’s blog.
