Crew Interview – Mona Leonard

It’s time for another post in our 2017 Canvas Corp Crew Interviews. We are extremely privileged to be able to work with a group of over a 100 of amazing designers from around the world. They have all come together to create, share ideas, support each other, let us know what we can do better and remind us of what we are doing well.  Our Crew members contribute projects to our blog, design with our products on their blogs, create models for our trade shows, packaging and other fun little projects.  We love to hear what they have to say, to be inspired by their work and to learn new things everyday.
Today, we get to know Mona Leonard.

Where do you reside?
I live in Kapuskasing, Ontario, Canada

Describe your design style…
I have many different styles. First of all in art journaling I love vibrant colours, clean pages but I also love some distressed looking pages. When card making, I love clean cutesy projects.

Who or what do you give credit to inspiring your creativity?
I get a lot of my inspiration from Google, YouTube and Pinterest.

What inspires you today?
Every day items is what inspires me the most lately.

What is your favorite Canvas Corp Brand Product? and why? Just one please!!!
This is a difficult questions as there are many but since I have to pick only one, I will have to say canvas… there are so many things you can create with canvas – the possibilities are endless.

We asked Mona to choose her favorite project she has created using CCB Products.

Why is it your favorite project?
I think this being my first project, I realised that you can get any canvas piece to match any decor or any room in your house and in this case – it was our trailer.

I am the happiest doing…
Art journaling, altered projects… just anything that gets my hands dirty.

My favorite place to be creative…
Is my craft room.

Tell us one cool detail about your studio or craft space…
This is not the best photo cause I was re-arranging everything this weekend in my craft room. It was a bit messy but it is my space and I love it.

Share with us anything about your creative life that you feel would inspire others…
I started crafting at a young age, tried almost every craft going but seem to always come back to paper crafts and sewing. Don’t be afraid to try new things – you will finally find what is ‘your cup of tea’.
