Today, we get to know Viktoriya Porechnaya.
Where do you reside?
I live in the beautiful ancient Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, the country in the center of Europe. It has a long history, beautiful landscapes, interesting traditions and rich culture.
Describe your design style…
I don’t know how to describe my style, because I like making something different every time – love papers and classic scrapbooking today, adore paints and mists the next day to create mixed media, have fun to jump in CAS later…
Who or what do you give credit to inspiring your creativity?
The best inspiration for me is to get a new collection of my favorite manufacturer in my hands and play with it! It always works great! Creations of other artists, pictures on Pinterest or Instagram, beautiful places and nature are also great ways of getting inspired too!
What inspires you today?
Summer days, bright colors and flowers around and my future vacation at the seaside!
What is your favorite Canvas Corp Brand Product? and why? Just one please!!!
So hard to choose only one! My first love were Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists some years ago and I will love them forever!
We asked Viktoriya to choose her favorite project she has created using CCB Products.
Why is it your favorite project?
I love all my projects, but the Lviv album about travelling to this great city is my favorite. I created it with the new 7gypsies Architextures line – papers, treasures, findings etc. They are really fabulous!
Do you teach and if so tell us a bit about what you teach, where you go and some of your favorite places?
I had workshops last year and some years ago. It was great experience, but it’s really hard and I didn’t like how it set some limits to my creativity because I could only do certain techniques, use certain materials, and have limited time.
I am the happiest doing…
I am the happiest doing something I love – watercolor painting, paper cutting, spraying mists etc. The saddest thing for me is when I don’t have inspiration for doing anything!
My favorite place to be creative…
It’s my home, of course! I have all my treasures for happiness there!
Tell us one cool detail about your studio or craft space…
The one cool detail about my studio – I don’t have a studio! I have my craft things everywhere around the house! Papers and Big Shot in one room… more papers, punches and embellishments in other room… mists and mixed media in the kitchen…
Tell us one thing fun about you we might not know…
I often talk to my cat when I’m in the middle of my creating… just sharing my thoughts…
Share with us anything about your creative life that you feel would inspire others…
I always try to do something new for me and discover new horizonts in my life. For example, I started painting some years ago, I didn’t do it earlier and always dreamt about it! Never stop dreaming and trying!
