Easter Egg Tree – probably not the first home decor idea that would come to your mind but… how unusual and effective. With the pastel, spring colours of the eggs and branches straight from the local park, you can bring the waking up nature into your house and add to your usual Easter decor full of Bunnies and Chicks. Why not make something different and fun, right? We are sure that the kids will be more than happy to help you paint and arrange the eggs one the ‘tree’ – end of the day, they love decorating the Christmas tree so why not get involved and make the Easter Tree happen?
With a little bit of help from Tattered Angels paints, our Crew member, Viktoriya Porechnaya whipped out this project in no time and we love it!!!
‘I love my home and I like to decorate it for holidays each year. So I have many items for it – fabric rabbits, eggs etc, but this year, I had an idea of the Easter Tree. I strolled into the park and picked up some branches, found an old flower pot and some Tattered Angels Decor&DIY paints. After half an hour, I had a great home decor piece.’ – explains Viktoriya.
Materials used:
Tattered Angels Decor&DIY paints Ivory and Jade
Tattered AngelsGlimmer Mist Tattered Leather
Some acrylic paints
Branches
Cord
Flower pot
Sand and stones
Plastic eggs
Laces\strip
Tools:
Brush
Sponge
Stick
Gather branches together and tie them with a cord – it’s will be your ‘tree’.
Paint the ‘tree’ white or\and ivory with a brush.
Color your pot with sponge. Viktoriya chose Jade Decor&DIY paint for it. You need at least two coats of paint for great coloring. Make sure you let each layer dry thoroughly.
Use a round stick or a pencil and ‘stamp’ ivory dots on the pot.
Pour some sand and earth in the pot over a layer of small stones and ” plant” your tree.
Paint the plastic eggs different colors with a sponge; use Tattered Leather Glimmer mists for making spots on eggs.
Add laces and hang the eggs on branches; place some eggs in the pot too. The Easter Tree is ready to decorate your home.
