Capture the memories of Fall in a beautiful journal like the one crew member, Jaine Drake, is sharing on the blog today. They are simple to put together with cardstock papers from Canvas Corp that are heavy duty and a perfect choice for making your own books and journals. The paper comes in 12×12 and is one sided with a wide range of prints that can be mixed and match or choose just one to create the pages of your journal.
I had so much fun setting up my Autumn planner – decorating the cover is the best part. The base is a plain Moleskin journal, and I covered it with the Barbed Wire Paper from Canvas Corp to provide a perfect place to add my layered elements. The green stripe paper added a little bit of pop to the colour. The owl peeking out from the journal tag is a bit of fun for a fun season. After layering everything together I added the letter stickers and flicked on some ink before adding it to my felt planner cover.
I can’t wait to dive in and start using it.
Each page can be decorated with Fall and Halloween themed ephemera, paper tape, paper, art, stamps, alphas, etc. or you can leave them blank and each journal entry can be decorated to support the look and feel of the event or time during the season.
Materials Used:
A Moleskin Blank Journal
Black and Kraft Barbed Wire – Paper

Stickers
Washi Tape
Ink
To get the rounded edges you can use a great tool called the Paper Gator, a punch tool or you can hand-cut them. Here is a great video where Shannon Green shows you how to use the Paper Gator for another great project – Youtube Video.
A seasonal journal is a great way to capture the memories and have fun decorating each journal with your craft supplies and tools that fit the bill. You can also use brochures, tickets and other found items from the events to create a true journal scrapbook.
