DIY Petal Basket

Nothing spells spring like a garden of fresh flowers starting to bloom. The sweet perfume air one smells when walking past fresh blooms. Farmers markets begin re-opening, veggies are at their freshest and flowers are wrapped in bundles waiting to fill that special kitchen vase. If allergies are an issue, why not buy artificial flowers that look and feel real. You can place these faux beauties inside old crates, tins or baskets just like CCB Crew Member Gina Knuppenburg did. We love how she added her touch to our Burlap & Canvas Basket with some Tattered Angels Decor & DIY Paint (Dove), a stencil, lace and gorgeous flowers. Lets follow along with Gina as she gives us a step by step process to make your own personalized burlap and canvas basket.

“Create a simple and elegant flower petal basket using Canvas Corp Brands Burlap & Canvas basket and Tattered Angels Decor & DIY Paint.” These are so simple to create.

Materials Used 

• Basket-Burlap & Canvas (Medium)
• Tattered Angels Decor & DIY Paint (Dove)
• Letter Stencils
• Lace Trim
• Fabric Flower
• Tools Used; Scissors, Hot Glue Gun, Foam Paint Brush and/or paintbrush, Masking or Painter’s Tape

Step 1

Tape stencil to burlap basket.

Step 2

Using a foam brush, paint over the stencil.

Step 3

Remove stencil while paint is still wet.

Step 4

Touch up letter, if needed.

Step 5

Add lace trim around the top of the basket with hot glue.

Step 6

Finish by attaching fabric flower embellishments with additional hot glue.
