Some of the Canvas Corp Brands Crew Members come from small towns tucked away, while others are near busy places with lots going on and many places in between. Creativity happens in all of these places, there is inspiration around every turn and each of our Crew members finds just the right place(s) to find inspiration and to create. If you are not familiar with our Canvas Corp Brands Crew, they are the design team for Canvas Corp Brands and work the wonder to create projects for 7gypsies, Tattered Angels and Canvas Corp and truly inspire us everyday. We invite new creatives to apply once an year in October and we bring together a crew from a wide range of craft specialties to provide the most innovative techniques, creative projects and clever ideas. The Crew also hosts an amazing Facebook Group – The Canvas Corp Brands Collective where you can share your projects, ask questions, see what they are up to and be inspired.
We love to highlight our Crew Members and today on the blog Sue Eldred is our featured Crew Member. Sue has been a terrific supporter of our brands and has created some amazing pieces, like this 4×4 she created for our Crew Member web page where each designer creates a 4×4 that represents their personal creative style. Sue found an amazing way to put a lot into a little space and share some of her favorite things.
Where do you reside? I live in a small town called Washington, Illinois in the U.S.
We love the small, hometown feel of downtown Washington.
Describe your design style….I have a eclectic style. I like clean and simple, shabby, vintage and at times I like to get completely messy.
Who or what do you give credit to inspiring your creativity? I grew up around creative people. My Grandma was the Ultimate Crafter. My Mom loved to paint. My Dad could fix anything.
What inspires you most today? Inspiration is everywhere. My best ideas come while I’m lying in bed trying to sleep.
What is your favorite Canvas Corp Brand Product? and why? Just one please!!!! So much to love. My favorite would be the canvas pieces. Who doesn’t love a blank canvas. So many possibilities.
Sue makes crafting fun and this great apron “The last time I cooked hardly anyone got sick” is a great example. Here is her blog post with all the fun details – Sue’s Creative Workshop
What is your favorite project you have created using CCB Products…
Do you teach and if so tell us a bit about what you teach, where you go and some of your favorite places? I teach a few times a year at a local Scrapbook store and host a large Holiday Workshop in November each year. I mainly share how to make projects on my blog.
I am the happiest doing…..Spending time with my family and taking picturesMy favorite place to be creative…..Upstairs in my workshop.
Tell us one cool detail about your studio or craft space…My workshop is really small, 8 1/2′ x 10 1/2′. I just recently shared a peek into my space on my blog.
Tell us one thing fun about you we might not know…I met my husband while on my Senior Trip to Hawaii….one of us may have been a flirt!!!
Share with us anything about your creative life that you feel would inspire others….I love finding good junk to re-purpose into great treasures. Keep your eyes open. You never know what you’ll find.
We love getting to know our crew members more and hope you do too. To follow Sue you can find her blog Sue’s Creative Workshop, Instagram and Facebook.
