I love altering items and sometimes odd shapes draw my attention. I found these MDF door hangers and knew I would use them, but I didn’t know how. When I received my recent box of CCB products, I was immediately drawn to the Spring Flowers and Butterfly pattern papers and knew they would be my inspiration. – explains Steph.
Steph used the following materials:
Canvas Corp Black Cardstock
Canvas Corp Spring Flowers Reverse on Ivory
Canvas Corp Spring Flowers Butterflies on Ivory
Tattered Angels Chalkboard Paint – Sprout
Tattered Angels Baseboard Paint – Sky
Tattered Angels Plain Jain Stained Glass – Lemon, Lavender
Tattered Angels Glaze – Sweet Pea
Tattered Angels Glimmer Glam – Twinkle Toes
Tattered Angels High Impact Paint – White
Chipboard Door Hanger
Scissors
Die cut machine and circle dies
Liquid and foam adhesives
Paint the chipboard door hanger with White High Impact Paint.
Spritz Sprout on the lower 1/3 of the door hanger. Spritz Sky above. Where the colors meet, gently blend with your fingers. Die cut black and white cardstock circle frames to fit the opening.
Fussy cut the flowers from the Spring Flowers pattern paper. Paint the flowers with Lavender Stained Glass. Paint the leaves with Sweet Pea Glaze.
Shape the flowers and adhere to the bottom of the door hanger, adding foam adhesives under some of the flowers for dimension.
Paint a butterfly with Lemon Stained Glass. While still wet, paint on Lavendar Stained Glass and allow the colors to blend. Once dry, paint on Twinkle Toes Glimmer Glam.
Adhere the butterfly to the die cut circles to make it look like it has just landed on it.
Now… that’s it! All that’s left to do is choose the door to hang your flowery piece of decor on!
