Welcome to our Friday with Friends segment. Today Crew Member Monica Taylor shares her creative journey pairing
Tim Holtz Distress products and Idea-olology with 7gypsies Architectures and Canvas Corp.
In Monica’s Words
I think I have been a Tim Holtz fan as long as I have been a 7gypsies fan. I love vintage and both brands have products that work so well together. I decided to create a Faux Shadow Box using some paper from the 7gypsies Architextures 8×8 paper stack, the Canvas Corp Postal Screen Printed Card Board and some of my favorite Tim Holtz Products.
Ranger Inc. manufactures the Tim Holtz Distress products, which is a great way to turn something new into old or vintage. I regularly use the Distress Crayons as well as Distress Inks to compliment my 7gypsies products. The Idea-ology products by Tim Holtz are additional items that I regularly use to add interest to my projects. For this Faux Shadow box, I combined some of the Ranger Distress products, 7gypsies Architextures, Idea-ology and the Canvas Corp Screen Print to create this awesome dimensional Wall Hanging.

I have a few of those faux shadow box papers around, have been meaning to make myself a faux shadow box for some time! What fun! Hopefully this will inspire me. I’ve made some real shadow boxes and want to make more of those also.
