Crew Member Katie Z shows how Canvas Corp Papers are a PERFECT match with Spellbinder Dies.
Katie Z’s Words
Good Day Everyone! Katie Z. here today sharing a rather interesting way in decorating a paper jar using various Spellbinders Dies. If you are their Club Kit members (http://shrsl.com/tago) then you will find this tutorial a useful one. It will show how to match up with various Canvas Corp papers to create a wonderful gift – may it for a friend, wedding or any special occasion.
My inspiration is a french carnival idea. I used this concept on a paper jar. I have an extensive tutorial in how to do this on my Snapguide (https://goo.gl/NUZJXt) which you are free to explore. To follow the carnival idea, I chose red and ivory as my base colours. Using Canvas Corp Red & Ivory Ribbon Stripe, White Mini Dot Rev and Black and Ivory French Script papers was the perfect choice for this project. A single sheet of 12″ x 12″ from each pattern paper is more than sufficient to make this paper jar as well as the various embellishments. The advantage of these papers is that the reverse side is plain ivory (with no patterns and designs) which you can use them as matching cardstock without having to obtain one. And that’s how I use both sides of the papers interchangeably for my various diecut embellishments.
With my left over pieces, I made a domed treat box as well to go along with the jar to complete it as a set. And now it’s all ready to be gifted away…
