Gypsy Moments Crate

Create the gift of a personal crate that is just waiting to hold precious photos, notes, mementos and more. These individually designed file folders fill the Vintage Photo Crate and are prefect for just about anything 4”x6”. Add pins, fabric, papers, metals, and ephemera to create a crate for just about any theme. Organize by dates or themes using the file folder tabs. Idea: for a fun wedding shower project have each bridesmaid decorate one of the folders and slip them all into the crate and fill them with snapshots or polaroids from the wedding.

Steps:

1. Ink the edges of the Gypsy Moments index card. Using a file folder from the Gypsy Moments file folder pack, glue the index card to the front at an angle. Add a vintage pin, dome stud, piece of ladylike ephemera, vintage hanger and gypsy frame as pictured. Use a Gypsy Moments ATC file folder (unfolded) to fill the 4” x 6” file folder.

2. Ink the edges of a 4” x 6” manila file folder. Adhere 3-4 dome studs to the tab. Decorate the cover with printed canvas, ladylike ephemera and vintage hangers. We added an artistic polaroid photo for a vintage look.

3. Glue a piece of printed canvas to the scalloped index card. Jot down some thoughts on your Just an Idea and Doodle Sheet Gypsy Moment cards and connect them to the card with the round hanger.

4. Tie a piece of canvas fringe around the book file folder from the Gypsy Moments file folder pack. Clip a piece of ephemera at the top with a round hanger. Ink the edges for an added vintage effect by rubbing an ink pad around the edge of the ephemera piece.

5. Once again, ink the edges of a 4” x 6” manila file folder. Glue the Today card to the front and pin in place using a vintage pin. We also added ephemera to the tab with a round hanger.

6. Stuff a 4” x 6” Gypsy Moments file folder with photos. Close the folder with a round hanger, and add ephemera to the tab to give the folder some height.

7. Add any extra elements, such as the Rome book cover, to give additional height to the crate. The crate is ready to be filled with photos, Gypsy Moments cards, love notes and so much more!
