Weather you are a card maker, a mixed media crafter or a layout maker the Compose Your Life Collection has something to offer you. The mix of soft and bold colors and the fantastic structure of the paper – they are printed on textured water-media 320gsm weight paper. Today I´m sharing a layout created with just a few items and a precious family photo.
step 1
The “Be Strong” 12×12 paper is on of my favourites from the collections, and it fit the color scheme of my chosen photo perfect so I decided to use it as my layout base.
step 2
The paper itself has a wonderful pattern and did not want to cover it to much. To add some contrasts and to create a base for my photo I decided to use a stencil from AB Studio together with a couple of Chalkboard Mists. I painted the “gaps” of the stencil with the mist using a really dry brush. Since the paper is a watercolor paper the paint does not bleed.
step 3
Every layout need a bit of texture and dimension I believe. I cut out circles from the “Floral Spheres” paper, highlighted the edges with black ink and added them randomly to the background. A piece of string in a contrasting color was added with glue and a stapler. To frame the photo I used flowers cut from the “Red Flower Pieces” paper.
step 4
Suitable sentiments and black mist splatters together with doodling and random stamping add the finishing touches.
