How often do you want to say Thank You, Love You Forever, You Are My Favorite, Thankful, Hello Today….Crew Member, Angélique shows us some great ideas and techniques for creating these sweet little cards. Pop them in the mail, leave them at a co-workers desk or maybe on your hubby’s pillow this Father’s Day.
Angélique create a series of videos that walks you through the steps and the techniques.
Materials Used
Tattered Angels:
Glimmer Mist – Gold; Glimmer Mist – Icicle Blue
Canvas Corp:
Mini Clothespins- White
12 x 12 Burlap Sheet – Natural Burlap
Others:
Gears, Modeling paste, Gesso, Embossing powder, Black and Grey pencils, Distress, Black Ink
Tools Used: Heat gun, Brush, Spatula, Stamps,Stencils
Step 1 – The first step is to apply gesso on a scrap of paper. A thin layer will suffice.
Step 2 – Then, once the gesso dries, apply it 2 more times, with two different stencils and the modeling paste. Between each layer, we will accelerate our drying with a heat gun or hair dryer.
Step 3- Next, we will bring the colors and shine in our project, thanks to our wonderful Glimmer Mist. I use Glimmer Mist in Gold and Blue Icicle
Step 4- Cut strips of burlap and plaster them with gesso to give it an antique effect.
Step 5- At the center of your card, place the scenery and the text (message) .
Step 6- We finish off the project with some decorations to give it the finishing touch. In the video, you will discover additional steps, stamped patterns, embossing, adding relief with beads, and inking the edges.
