Irish eyes are smiling – St Pat’s Day tags

St Patrick’s Day is just around the corner and, whether we’re Irish or not, celebrating it is such a fun and exciting event. If you’re struggling for some last minute ideas, why not stop by the Canvas Corp shop and grab some Canvas Corp green papers; with designs ranging from stripes and polka dots to super-cute clovers, you will be able to whip up a some beautiful deco and goodies. Our Crew member, Cherry Nelson, shares her ‘Irish Eyes Are Smiling’ tags – with an unusual shape and layers of green goodness, they are a perfect for any Irish leprechauns visiting your home on the P-Day.

‘Have a St. Patty’s Day party coming up? These fun layered tags will come together quick and easy. A few simple layers with pattern papers and easily accessible St. Patrick’s day embellishments (found at big box stores) and you have some colorful decorations or hostess gifts ready!’ – says Cherry about her project.

Materials used:
Canvas Corp 12×12 paper Lime green and white clover
Canvas Corp 12×12 paper Green and Ivory French linen stripe
Canvas Corp mini clothespins natural

Tools:
Adhesive
Crop-a-dile
hot glue gun
Sizzix Big Shot
Cheery Lynn Dies

Gather papers and, using your die-cut of choice, cut your paper.

Layer your papers and cut hole to run twine through. Add your ribbons and bows.

Adhere your snippets of green doily or any other layer you would like to add. Then add your shamrocks (found easily in any holiday secion of big box store).

Add your “lucky” sentiments with clothepins and add some florals/flowers if you like.

How very effective and cute! You could easily have your children engaged and helping – what a fun St Pat’s party preparation activity for the whole family.
