Our canvas totes are so fun and versatile, they can be painted, stenciled, stamped on, and more! Today’s fun, summery tote was created by our very own Crew Member, Viktoriya. Inspired by Juicy Fruits, she added some bright fabric, some stitching, and a few other embellishments to make this pineapple market bag and wallet. What a fun idea!

Canvas Market Bag 8″x8″x4″
Start to decorate a canvas market bag. Draw or print pineapple graphics in two different sizes-big and small. Cut it from paper and transfer to orange and yellow fabric sheets.
Make a “burger” – big orange pineapple, soft filler and small yellow pineapple on the top. Pin it together and sew it across by sewing machine.
Cut leaves from folded green canvas sheet.
Then make pineapple-pin leaves and sew yellow detail around.
Pin ready pineapple to the bag and sew with needle.
Make a watermelon wallet for pens or something useful. You can use ready item from shop or make it yourself. Cut the base from canvas fabric and made overlock around with sewing machine.
Draw an outline by pencil and cut two details-from green fabric, and second smaller detail from pink fabric.
Pin it together and iron allowance in one size.
Apply it on the wallet, sew it together and then sew wallet.
Decorate fruits with enamel dots, buttons and other embellishments.
What a fun project! The bright fruit theme is just perfect for summer, but you could always switch it up to make it fit any theme you are going for. Who knew what a little canvas, stitching and enamel dots could do??
