Hello! Connie Hall here again!
Valentine’s Day is one of my favorite Days. I wanted to make a Heart project using the Tattered Angels Rose Calendar kit. I was gifted the awesome flourish embossed wallpaper samples in the Canvas Crew Traveling Journal I participated in last year. I also like the look of corrugated cardboard.
I thought I would combine these items and make a simple yet beautiful wall hanging. Layers of Hearts and color for Valentine’s Day.
Products used:
Tattered Angels Calendar Kit – Roses
Canvas Corp – Black Damask on Ivory paper
7gypsies Architextures – Heart sticker
Pink Glitter Thickers, Sheer Ribbon
Embossed flourish wall paper
sheet of cardboard
Gesso
Scissors, X-acto knife
pencil, sponge paint brush, Paint brush
3 in 1 liquid glue
Use wooden heart shape as a template and draw on flourish embossed wallpaper and Cardboard. Use an x-acto knife for easier cut on cardboard.
Prep base by tearing off first layer of paper on cardboard. Use gesso and sponge brush to whitewash.
Draw a half inch line around heart fold and cut along line. Keep thin heart shape.
Use liquid glue on back of wallpaper and place on top of Cardboard Shape.
Place outline of heart back on the shape to mask area that will be sprayed with Glimmer Mist.
Spray from lightest color to darkest glimmer mist from the Calendar Kit.
Use a paint brush to outline the embossed surface spreading the glitter into the swirls.
Paint on the Glimmer Glam with the paintbrush to the top of the embossed area.
Draw and cut heart onto the scrap cardboard and a piece of Canvas Corp Damask Card stock. White wash both surfaces . Cut down the center to resemble a puzzle.
Once dry, glue the pieces on top of each other and embellish with 7gypsies Architextures embellishments and thicker letters.
Once all pieces are dry, add a ribbon to the back of the cardboard and your wall hanging is all ready to decorate your home or office.
I hope you like the idea!
Happy Crafting!
