Love Above All Altered Journal

 It’s the month of love and today I want to share a simple art journal spread focussing on just that!  Lately our world seems to be in complete chaos, from fighting wars,  to verbally abusing each other online….all because we can’t see past each others differences.  This spread was created as a reminder to choose Love above all.  To care for one another despite our differences.

This was created using the (red and black) High Impact paints, and the beautiful “very purple” Plain Jane mists.   If you have never used High Impact inks before you don’t know what you are missing!  These highly pigmented inks are permanent and a little goes a long way.  They were actually created to paint on burlap, but are just as amazing when used as part of the background work on mixed media projects as well.

 The Plain Jane “Very Purple” is so fun to use.  When you first apply it’s a strong vibrant “true” purple, but as it tries it has a two toned look with a slight bluish tint.  It’s really beautiful and one of my favorites.

Another think that I “LOVE” is the Tattered Tangles Tangled Packs.  The fun, playful designs and quotes create the perfect titles for journals, cards, and layouts.
