As many of us Crew Member Evelyn Walter is a passionate reader. When she saw the challenge theme “books”, she knew immediately, that she had to make a project for. Evelyn tell us: I am a passionate reader – without reading a book, I even can´t sleep. Reading is essential for me. There are many, many books on the market, but not so many are really that good to get hooked. One of the best books I read, are the three books of the Millenium Trilogy from Stieg Larsson, a Swedish author, who has unfortunately already died. I loved these books and couldn´t stop reading – I’ve devoured the books. The role of the Lisbeth Salander was perfectly filled in the filming with Noomy Rapace, so I decided to make a layout with a photo of her as Lisbeth Salander.
I distressed one of the new Architextures Papers, tore some parts and colored the edges with Distress Ink espresso ground. Then I prepared the paper with matte gel, added some crackle glaze and colored the paper with high impact paint and Glimmer Mists.
I matted the photo with some of the papers of the 8″ x 8″ Architextures paper pad. Then I glued it down to the layout.
I added some parts of the new Architextures adhesives from the Junqe pack Cabana. The texture sand paste was mixed with some Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist Tatterred Leather and added to the layout. Into the still wet paste I pressed some 3D balls in different sizes. When everything was dry, I embellished all with flowers and metal embellishments. Some metalic wax, white Gesso splatters and splatters of Glimmer Mist Tattered Leather completed the composition.
I made a process video and I hope you enjoy watching it!
