For Valentine’s Day I thought it would be fun to create a card from scratch — making all the embellishments. The Tattered Angels Mistable paper is wonderful and the glimmer mist work beautifully on it. I wanted to use my Scan-n-Cut to create the flower.
However, my craft room was being repaired and I did not have access to it. In order to create the flower I need several hearts ranging in size. It occurred to me that nothing in nature is symmetrical and hand cutting the hearts would create a gorgeous flower.
Here is how I created the flower:
As the flower was drying, I use tape and the heart scraps to create a stencil that I misted on my card front. For the sentiment I used the sentiment paper from this pack, cut into stripes and inked the edges. From there it was just simply assembling the card.
It came together rather quickly and the results are stunning.
Until next time ~ Happy Crafting!
