Hi there! This is Sue, sharing with you some projects I created using Tattered Angels mediums on fabric. I had a lot of fun colouring fabric, turning whites to coloureds and old to new.
My first project is a romantic keepsake box I created out of canvas.
I misted the canvas in shades of Trunk Bay and Bahama Blue, and the trims in Old Lace. I also misted the Prima fabric flowers with Dazzling Diamonds, my go-to mist for adding glimmer to flowers. One of my favourite things to do with mists is to customize my own crinkled seam binding in shades to match my projects. Here I custom-coloured the seam binding in variegated shades of pink and green.
My next project is a matching mini album to my keepsake box.
I had a lovely wide piece of white trim which I wanted to match to my mini album, so I simply misted it over with Trunk Bay. The crinkled seam binding was created using Vintage Pink and Tutti Frutti. I like that Tattered Angels mediums allow you to customize your embellishments to perfectly match your projects.
For my final project, I found this old discoloured cotton doily coaster which was definitely worse for wear. I decided to give it a bright makeover with Sunflower mist, then used it to create a tag.
You’ll notice again my crinkled seam binding, this time I misted it in various shades of green and olive. It really is fun dyeing your own bindings. 🙂 And did you notice that little bicycle trinket over the stamp “Enjoy The Journey”? Just me having a little fun. 🙂
Have fun altering your fabrics with Tattered Angels mediums!
Sue
