The gypsies are excited to introduce a brand new collection that feeds the gypsy need for fabric, vintage prints, banners, bunting and other touchy feely goodness. 
The new collection is rightly named, Gypsy Seamstress and includes a selection of blank, padded canvas shapes called Ornaments, vintage printed mini banners, triangle shaped fabric and paper bunting, along with vintage inspired totes and a rustic ticking and canvas apron.
Each item in the collection is hand cut and hand sewn with rustic touches such as exposed edges and frayed edges. These vintage surfaces are longing to be roughed and distressed with paints, inks, mists, stencils, stamps, stitches, etc. Whip out the sewing machine, a thread and needle or make it simple and color in the stitches.
The Gypsy Ornaments are available in 6 different shapes, each with fun names that describe their shape with old school names. These Ornaments are two sided with a cut of cotton batting in the middle that is sticking out just the right amount. Leave it as it is or pull bits and pieces out to make it look like the batting has been around for some time. All the pieces are 100% cotton and ready to be tinted, stained, misted or dyed to your favorite rustic color.
The Gypsy Banners are printed canvas pieces with a 1” header that is perfect for slipping in a dowel rod, stick or cording. The edges are stitched on these banners, but they stitching can be cut off to create a distressed look. 100% cotton too, they can be altered to look as old as you would like them too. You can also watercolor in the artwork and make them lively and colorful.
The Gypsy Pennants are made of heavy duty canvas with rough edges exposed and vintage fabric designs printed on a special paper (Suede) that has the feel of fabric and is much sturdier than your basic paper. The variety of prints can be mixed together or choose a favorite from the 8 different themes.
These Gypsy Seamstress pieces can be mixed and matched together in fun ways to create fun vintage bunting.
The Vintage Totes and Apron – the Vintage Totes are made of a heavy duty 14 ounce canvas that will hold up to any distressing, sewing and decorating you can give it. The wide double handles make it strong enough to hold your craft goodies, overnight stay items or turn it into a vintage baby bag. One tote is all canvas and the other has a rustic ticking ruffle that is oh so cute.
The apron is available only in a ticking and canvas combo and is great as it is, but terrific when decorated to the nines.
Now it is time to get creative with these new goodies from 7gypsies….sew, stencil, paint, ink, stamp, freestyle sew, hand-stitch, quilt, appliqué, distress, glue, mist…the possibilities are endless. Add touches of old fabric that you pick up at a thrift store or flea market. Don’t worry if the dress is stained or the curtains are tattered, they look great ripped and added to the cords to make banners and vintage bunting. Add touches of metals and ephemera in your favorite vintage theme.
