Notes at Tea-Time: Altered Notebook

Hi there and Happy New Year! Lynne Joncas here with a little notebook I made for myself to use when I have my morning tea; I’m hoping to get in the habit of jotting down a few thoughts, ideas and plans at the beginning of each day, and I figured having a small, convenient little book like this would make it easier.

Canvas Corp papers: Bags & Beans on Kraft, Fill the Cup on Kraft, Mixology-Lemonade and Sweet Tea Sayings on White
Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists: Rose Gold and Walnut Gold

Mod Podge
Various fibers

I covered the notebook with some neutral, lightly patterned paper from my stash, then used the Canvas Corp papers Fill the Cup on Kraft and Bags & Beans on Kraft for the background, fussy-cutting and then overlapping the images decoupage-style. The weight of these papers keeps them from buckling when a wet adhesive is used.

The Mod Podge created a sheen on the books’ surface which makes the photo a little cloudy, but it protects the papers and keeps them from lifting at the edges; I recommend if you create a project that will be handled quite a bit, you consider adding a protective coat of some sort.

A few other CCB products helped me finish this little project, and now I’m looking forward to  tomorrow’s morning tea time!
