What do you use craft paper for? Cards, layouts, mixed media, art project, journals, mini books, tags, invitations, home decor projects, DIY projects, crafts? We love it all and when the papers are vintage, we love them more. 7gypsies offers a wide range of vintage papers that will inspire to create so many exciting projects. Today Crew Member Marie Johansson share a card created with 7gypsies American Vintage – State Plates 12×12 paper.
This paper was inspired by vintage license plates from each state in the USA featuring a range of colors and icons found on plates of the past and present. The flip side features an alphabet in a set of license plate fonts. You can use the paper just as it is our cut out your favorite states, states you have visited, states where you have lived, the states your children were born or maybe you can create a family tree. Different sizes and shapes and they are wonderful.
“I created this card as I needed a masculine birthday card for a friend. This paper is one of my favourites to use for any masculine project and I have used it for cards before. This time I did a really simple design, I wanted the paper to speak for itself. The colors are lovely and give a illusive dimension even if the card itself is really flat. I simply trimmed of the edges to a round shape & added a embossed sentiment in a contrasting color.”
