As the month of October comes to an end, we truly hope that your support for building awareness for Breast Cancer does not stop, in fact we hope your support of building awareness for all cancer prevention and detection only increases not only with breast cancer, but all cancers. We have focused our efforts this month on building awareness for the prevention of Breast Cancer, the healing powers of crafting for those battling cancer and the special gifts you can make for those fighting the battle, caretakers and family members who are right there.
We had so many great submission, stories from the heart and inspirational pieces that we were so glad we dedicated the month to sharing them. When Tonya shared her project with us, it held a special place in our hearts, her “Hope” Chest was created with a die from Sizzix – ScoreBoards XL Die – Box, Train Case. We immediately thought would be a special gift for someone starting the battle to keep the things most important, notes, cards, prayers, photos and other cherished items and could be kept close and ready to bring a special smile whenever one is needed.
Canvas Corp Cardstock paper is a great weight and works on its own for many boxes or added additional thickness to chipboard when creating a structured box like this on.
The coordinating pink papers from Canvas Corp almost look like fabric as they cover the inside and the outside of the “Hope” chest.
Add pink trims for fun and you can use vintage style hinges and closures.
Stop by Tonya’s Blog Creative Addiction to Paper for more details on what she used to decorate the top.
If you are inspired to make one of the pink projects featured on the blog, please don’t stop when November 1 rolls around, keep making pink things, keep thinking pink and help spread awareness, spread creativity and spread hope.
Happy Creating!!!
