Hi everyone, Rhea here showing off my mixed media chunky canvas created for the Canvas Corp and Faber Castell blog hop. Don’t forget to comment below to be entered into the $50 grand prize pack, and stop on over to Faber-Castell to see what awesome stuff they’ve created this week!
This project was inspired by all the great mediums that Faber-Castell sent along. I wanted to take the time and explore each of their properties.
The gesso made for a perfect first layer on my fun chunky canvas from Canvas Corp.
I used the whipped spackle with a stencil to achieve the cracks in the background. I love the light texture of this product.
Finally, I played with thier glaze and added chopped up blue gelato and a little bit of glitter to make another great dimensional layer.
Once I had my background done I layered on my focal item and some embellishments with a very strong glue to make this special mixed media piece.
