Today I’m so excited to kick off the start of our partner hop with Faber-Castell! I am a little embarrassed to admit that this is my first time using any of the products, but now that I have I am hooked! They work like magic with Canvas Corp Brands. Don’t forget to comment below each post each day to be entered to win one 1 of 2 prize packs from Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft and Canvas Corp Brands!
My first project is this “no sew” Multi Pockets apron. “No sew” because I can’t sew! lol
I love this apron because of the pocket storage. There’s 4 little pockets and 2 really large ones. It’s a perfect craft apron, I would think it would be especially handy for those of you who teach classes to have all of your goodies at hand at all times.
What’s even better is that it is literally a blank canvas, ready to be altered to fit your style. Since I plan to use this apron I really wanted something that actually covers my fuller physique if you know what I mean. So, I added some ruffles to the sides with the Chevron Canvas Sheets
Then I used the Faber-Castell Pitt Pen (nougat 178) to stamp the cogs, and then I created the wings using the Faber Castell glaze and a wing stencil from ScrapFx.
I used more chevron canvas and some Red Canvas to create some pops of color on the apron.
How would you dress up your canvas?
The possibilities are endless!
Next up is a bright canvas I created using lots of Faber-Castell goodies including Double Scoop Gelatos, Glaze, Whipped Spackle, and the texture cards as well as some of my favorite Tattered Angels paints! You can see it all in the video below at the end of this post.
To create this canvas I dipped into my stash of the 7Gypsies Gypsy Moments collection. I love the Gypsy Moments line because it has these adorable vintage images like the one you see here, as well as some fun and inspirational quotes. Plus, I love instant frames and there are so many to cut out in this line.
I will say that Gelatos and glimmer mists were so fun to mix together and I am certain that I will now be buying every set they have!
I won’t bore you with the details of how I created this canvas, instead you can check out the start to finish video.
Head on over to the Faber-Castell blog to see what they’ve created, and don’t forget to follow along all week to see more amazing projects from talented designers!
