Hello, I am Vicky Fortier and today I’d like to share with you an upcycling/recycling project of mine.
I have been wanting to change the canvas that I had on display at work and I had already found an idea for it but first I needed some embellishments.
After a lot of thought, I decided to go with puzzle pieces. There are many reason for this… They are readily available in all kinds of sizes. They are also very cheap because many of us have a puzzle with missing pieces lying around and I also get gifted a bunch since people know that I like to recycle. Tattered Angels product were just perfect for transforming the puzzles into beautiful embellishments that could be used in many different ways.
Materials used to make these puzzle embellishments:
Puzzle pieces
Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist – Mallard and Boardwalk
Tattered Angels Baseboard Mist Paint – Chocolate Brown
Tattered Angels Glimmer Glam – Caspian Sea and Camel
Tattered Angels High Impact Metallic Paint – Copper
gesso and gel medium
Stencil, heat gun, paint brush
I will be sharing in the upcoming weeks a video of the making of the canvas piece but those embellishments could be used on a journal, as a magnet, whatever your imagination will give you as ideas.
If you’d like to see the embellishments used in a bigger project, make sure to stop by next time.
Happy crafting!
