Peace Card – Beth Byrd
This is a simple card I created using a soft blue color palette. The beautiful Mixed Media Origins Wings was perfect! I sprayed it lightly with the Tattered Angels Abominable Snowman Glitter Mist and that was all I needed to make this paper totally amazing. The Canvas Fringe Ticking in Grey and Ivory was a wonderful match — it added a bit of additional texture and coordinated so nicely with the soft image I wanted to create. I stapled a piece of silvery lace trim over the ticking to give the card a touch of shimmer. The hand stamped “Peace” message was done in navy ink. I added a vintage style button and some crystal gemstones to add a decorative and sparkly touch!

Love you always and forever! – Sanna Lippert
Living in another country means that I don´t get to see my relatives nor my mom very often. Thus I try to create something special for every occation. This year my mom will get a special DIY card for Mother´s Day (+ some flowers delivered to her door, but psssttt..don´t tell her…!) I love creating with mists and adding spray ink details to my projects. This card is no exception. I start with a misted background, add a layer of iridescent paste and color the stamped image with monochromatic spray ink tones. Even the wood veneer gets tinted with Glimmer Mist. There is a quick start-to-finish video on how I created this card. I sure hope my mom likes it!!! The great thing about spray inks is that you can alter old and new elements to work better together by misting everything in similar tones.

Floral Card – Jennifer Hottinger-Sloan
I started with the card base, adding a piece of waxed cord as a vine which the flowers will be attached to. Cut one of the seed packets off the paper and water coloured the flower and added enamel drops to the center. Affixed everything together, layering the flowers and leaves around the seed packet.

It’s a Boy – Ava Gavloski
The birth of a baby into a family can be a wonderful blessing. Celebrate these moments at each opportunity that comes into your world. For this card, I used the Canvas Corp Home Basics Mix & Match Snips ‘N Snails pad.
- Any Mix and Match pad by Canvas Corp Home Basics is truly a wonderful package to purchase. Everything you need to co-ordinate a quick and easy card. Simply pull the pattern papers and colored cardstock from the pack and start designing.
- Carefully fussy cut all of your elements. TIP: Ink your edges of your fussy cutting elements to smooth out imprefections. This inking of edges also makes elements pop off the pages.
- Remember to embellish the back of your cards. This card is being mailed snail mail, so I needed to keep the card flat to sail through those mail sorting machines.
- You can see that I used foam tape to give the front of the card a 3D look with the label adhered to the front.
We’re sure that these have given you some ideas and inspired you to make your own cards for any upcoming occasion.
Happy crafting!!!
